Hiring in Spain through an EOR is a popular route for companies expanding into southern Europe, from startups making their first hire to larger enterprises testing the market. Having a team in Spain means dealing with sector collective agreements, employer social contributions of roughly 30% on top of gross pay, and a special tax regime for incoming professionals (the Beckham law) that many providers advise on. When choosing the best fit, compare each provider’s local presence and its expertise in Spanish employment.
Disclosure. Acvian runs EOR Navigator and also appears in it as a provider. Every company, including us, is ranked by the same criteria using information from providers’ websites and other open sources. Customer Experience is scored subjectively, based on our team’s industry experience.

Without the ‘empresa de trabajo temporal’, or ETT, authorization, the EOR arrangement can count as an illegal transfer of workers, and both the client and the provider can become liable. Many providers operate as ordinary companies without an ETT authorization, so confirm yours holds one.
Most sectors set minimum wage through collective agreements – ‘convenios colectivos’ – which also define core working conditions. Your provider should apply the right one to each hire, so find out which agreement it will use before you set salary offers.
As of 2026, employers in Spain pay roughly 30.65% of gross pay in social security contributions, plus an accident insurance premium that depends on the job. Whatever the pricing model, make sure your provider’s quote shows the full annual cost on top of the service fee.
The so-called Beckham law is a special tax regime for newcomers who move to Spain to work. Instead of the standard progressive income tax, eligible employees pay a flat 24% (a cap applies). If your relocating hire hasn’t been a Spanish tax resident in the previous five years, find out from your provider whether they might qualify, since it can make your offer much more attractive.
In our default view (all criteria, startups & small teams) IberiaEOR ranks first in Spain, followed by Acvian and Rivermate. Switch the company size to Enterprise and Rivermate takes the lead, ahead of Acvian and IberiaEOR. Acvian runs this rating; see the disclosure at the top.
Budget two layers. Published fees start at €299 per employee per month (IberiaEOR; Rivermate lists €299–€599), with Acvian from $499 and Parakar from €649; the other providers quote only. On top come employer social contributions of roughly 30.65% of gross pay, plus an accident insurance premium that depends on the job.
It should. Without the ‘empresa de trabajo temporal’ (ETT) authorization, the arrangement can count as an illegal transfer of workers, and both you and the provider can become liable. Confirm your provider holds one.
Every provider is scored 0–5 on five criteria: in-country operations, own HR platform, pricing and transparency, fit for your company size (scored separately for small teams, mid-size companies and enterprises) and customer experience. By default each criterion counts equally; choosing a criterion above gives it the most weight. Acvian runs this rating and is scored on the same scale.
